Changing Cam In 94 GT

RE: Changing Cam In 94 GT
I recently put a cam in my car. The job was pretty simple and straight forward. It just takes alot of time and patience. Took a day and a half to do(I really took my time). There's an instruction sheet on howto do this around here somewhere. Just do a little searching and you should find it. I would reccomend a Trickflow STG1 cam or a computer sensitive Steeda 19. Both good choices.

Steeda 19 FTW....... a tfs stage in a 94 may cause idle hunting/surging which will only be able to be tuned out via a chip....I did one recently on a 94 and that's what happened....it's a hit or miss deal, some get away with it, some don't, so be prepared for that outcome if you choose a tfs stage 1...you can perform a idle relearn but it's only a bandaid fix and partial at that.

RE: Changing Cam In 94 GT
get the steeda I have tfs stage one also and ive been fighting the idle the whole time If I do it agian Ill pony up for the steeda cam
it will idle fine for a week or 2 then im fighting it agian sigh get the steeda cam. Its pretty easy to do.
My advice is to get headers roller rockers another intake whatever your planning on changing so you wont have to take it apart twice.

RE: Changing Cam In 94 GT
u all you should be able to tolerate a tfs stg 1 if i could handle
this cam in a untuned car:

i would start the car and hold the gas at around 12-1500 for a couple min and then it would idle like there was nothing wrong
