Do I stand a chance against a 300zx TT?
My buddy just got a 92 300zx TT 5 speed and is looking to race. Do I have any chance at beating or even keeping up with him? It has a catback exhaust, otherwise it is stock. I have the mods in my sig. I'm thinking I might get the jump on him, but then he'll probably real me in quick. What's your thoughts?

Personally the 300zx is lighter, faster and even with the mods you have I don't see how you will keep up with him. Those 300zx are very quickout of the gate and have a good top end speed also. But, I still wish you good luck if you race him.

you don't stand much of a chance once his turbos spool up ...the top end will take you down quick...just a fact... cause I don't really see any mod you have that'll really boost power to your advantage.

you should beat him i have a 95 mustang and before i pulled my motor out for a 331 strocker i ran a 14.1 on a stock motor with flowmaster exhaust. this was with 18inch saleen wheels and spinning like crazy off the line i was racing a turbo eclipse( i won but it was close i had him off the line and he couldnt catch me). just do a sick asssss burn out 
note: my car was alittle lighter then a stock GT just had 2 racing seats. good luck.
my car is in the works, tubed and gutted with a 331 DSS and two stage nos
i also have a 2004 GTO that ran a 13.383
with minor mods

HAH I also want to run a guy wit a 83 300ZX TT. BUT i think i might take it. My car is pretty much stock 3.73s, shorty headers, lift bars, pro 5.0, ignition, and M/T radials. I hope that is enough to get him. His is stock and an auto. I did a best of 14.599 before the M/Ts, 3.73s, Ohh BBK SFC's, and that was back when i still had the sway bars on so who knows should be a good race.

If he only ran a 14 then hes not that good of a driver. The base 300zx's arent that impressive, but the TT are pretty quick stock and can be ridiculous modded. I almost bought one over here in Qatar a few months ago.
