Spray undercoating the bottom of your car is just as effective and VERY cheap... It'll cost ya about $20 to do the floor pan. Plus... NO RUST! I recommend 3M brand.

Sound deadening is all about adding weight to a panel to slow the resonance down. Since that stuff is super heavy (respectively), it works pretty good. I spray undercoated 2 of my cars and noticed a big difference. One of the cars had 4 JL 10s and 3000 watts of amplifier behind them... From the front you couldn't hear anything but trunk rattle (and that is a different topic) and what was bleeding through the glass. I used crystal audio sound deadener spray inside the front doors and I would NEVER use it again. That stuff was terrible.

Plus, if your car is a daily warrior it will slow down chassy rust. Just remember though, if its rusty before the undercoat is applied it will just continue to rust under it. You must strip it, prime it, *paint it* (to seal it), and then undercoat it. The undercoat basically keeps stuff off of the paint, I don't think it does much as a sealer.
