ok so my over drive is gone in my aod and i was thinking about going manuel but idk what to do so im asking for a lil advice

 

Switching to manual is a lot of work, my plan for when my trans goes is probably buying a built c4, it wont lose as much hp through it as an aod and autos are lil less of a pain to drive on the street and more consistent at the track.

Took out a perfectly good AOD and swapped in a manual. Wasn't as hard as some think. The pedals were the hardest and after I took out the drivers seat and steeering column, the pedals went right in. The manual is alot more fun but theauto was more consistant.

 

keep the aod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

get a shift kit
get a tranny cooler
heavy duty overdrive band
new clutch kit
3000rpm torque converter
upgrade boost valve
learn how to hold 2nd gear when shifting

advance timing
