Default bfg drag radial vs. nitto drag radials?

Whats better the bfgs or the nittos. Hooking up and also tire life.

Is it a good idea to remove the front sway bar on a 92 5.0. I am going to put skinnies anyway so is there any problem with that. I did it on my 65 with no problems? Thanks for any info.

The BFG hook better than the nittos but i believe the expected life out of them is around 5000 miles. The nittos last a lot longer at a max of 15,000 miles but dont hook as well. People still run pretty good times with Nittos though, and they are good in the rain as well.

Onyx is exactly correct on the tires. Take the sway bar off it is fine. I don't have one on my car, you can tell a difference in the way it handles so be careful.

yeah i have the nitto 555r's...they hook pretty damn well, i have no complaints...and i've had the car for two months (daily driver...town driving) and there is very very very little wear on them. i am very satisfied, when it comes time for new rims and tires next summer, i am getting them again

I've tried both of them, and can't say i was pleased with either of them, i used the g'force's, and did the longest burnout at the track u could think of with 8 lbs and still spunn all of first, junk tire, mt radials are much better than both. I have had the best luck with the mt radials.

why arent mickey thompsons a choice? they hook better then the two, and they last prty decent... ive had them on all race season, and ive driven quite a bit on them... they still have alota tread left too

but out of your two choices go bfg...

and no swaybar is fine... i run soft front springs, no sway bar, soft *** struts, and skinnies... and daily drive the car... no problems

just for the fact the car is a daily driver and once in a while it goes to the track. wanted to make sure after putting on tires, we wouldnt have to get new ones a couple of months later.

I got horrible tread wear out of my BFG's on the vert..... not even 5k miles on them before they were almost smooth. I did do a lot of track driving, etc on them.. but the wear was even all the way across.

Nittos will for sure last longer, but they are not as grippy. I am going to try MT's on this one.. but if your looking for tread life in a drag radial nitto is the way to go.

based on this I'd say it's either the Nitto DRs or a normal street tire.

Nittos=longest lasting, least amount of traction(of the 3)
BFG's=not as long lasting, better traction.
M/T's=equal tread wear to the BFG's and the BEST of all 3 on traction...
Ask me how I know.......
