Default intake manifold

I am trying to get the intake off so I can change the valve cover gaskets. It's a new car to me so I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. With the 4 bolts out, it seems the seel has siezed the manifold and it won't come off. It there an easy way to get around this? Or is there an easier way to get the valve covers off?

There is a plate on top of the upper manifold with 4 little torqs screws on it. Pull those off and take off the cover piece, and there are 2 more bolts on there. That will let you lift it up and off.
