New to this world, but lookin to get my 5.0 rockin. 89 GT. Have Flowmaster mufflers. Was considering an air intake and a chip. Any thoughts? pros/cons of those? Other ways to get it faster without breaking the biznank?

 

First off, please never say bizank again, i beg you. Secondly you would see a gain from an air intake and a chip but it would be negligble. Instead I suggest getting a drop in K&N air filter and remove the air silencer, this will net you almost as much hp as a CAI but will cost much less. As for the chip, wait until you have some serious modding done on your engine and then get the car dyno tuned.
