Default Best place for shortblocks?

Buddy is looking for a short block (302 or 306) for his DD 93 hatch. He's not into racing or anything like that, but his engine just went out with 239k on it.

He wants to buy a brand new one built by a reputable shop with forged pistons.

Thanks.

I've heard lots of good things about CHP, and they're located in socal so you could go pick it up and save on shipping coasthigh.com

and the performance shop I go to uses nothing but L&R engines. lnrengines.com

both are cali shops that I've heard good reviews over and you can go pick it up and save on shipping, although I do see a few shops nowadays that ship for free anyways.

Have him take his motor to a machine shop. Might be cheaper to just rebuild the old one.
