YOU BETTER KEEP A TORQUE WRENCH in the car if you plan on driving it on the street cause my buddy had one in his 65 fastback and yeah it chirped around corners and one day the wheel fell off while driving it in the bank parking lot...he told me he thought someone loosened his lugs...I told him nahhhh...probably was due to all the hopping around corners and related to the spool and the no give around corners so we made sure it was locked up and sure enough after checking again after a while of driving and an assurance no one had screwed with it the lugs were loosening again!!!!

OUCH!!! I was just looking to do away with the Trac-Loc, and have it solid. Whats a good Trac-Lok rebuild kit? Is it worth it to get the carbon ones? Thanx for any help!

I run a Auburn and have not had a problem with it at all and I'm pushing 745rwhp and it has held together.
(knock on wood) With my luck now that I said something it will go out.

Definately go auburn, they make great units. I read up a lot about them when I put one in my Ram. It works like a champ, I am thinking about putting one in my 94 after the new engine goes in.

Mini spools are great for circle track, mainly cuz they weren't meant for hard launches. Not a good idea for street or strip. The auburn posi unit would be best for ya.

I baught the mini. I've talked to some people, and they said it shouldnt be a problem. I would totally go for the locker style, but for the money the mini is worth a try. If I don't like it at all, I'll start saving for the locker. Thanx for the info, and if anyone has any idea's let me know!
