What pushrod length is needed for Ford Racing/Crane 1.7 ratio rocker arms?

Usually the correct answer is you need to measure with a pushrod length checker. If you say what heads you're using someone might be able to give you an estimate.

They are a direct bolt on for the most part, you should be able to use your same pushrods if you aren't changing heads.

Thats what I thought. I installed them and started it. After about a minute, it started backfiring in the muffler. Very softly in the cans. I think instead of the pushrods being wrong I swaped the #1 and the #2 plugwires. I had to drive 20+ miles and the car was popping like a popcorn maker. Does that sound right?

They are stock heads. Will it run with two plugs crossed?

quite possible, I've seen it before. shouldn't have much power though.

I did notice a lose of power. I had to pull fourth up a hill that usually can take 5th. I'll swap the wires tomorrow and see want happens. Thanks for the help. How did you do your rocker install?

Did you just bolt on the rockers or did you check your preload? Sounds not right for sure. Crossed wires could be really bad, but that could make a back fire.

I installed my rockers when I did the new heads.
