I have a 1987 GT convert, and need to replace the carpet. I guess the grey carpet is called medium grey, but did the grey interior come with black carpet? Was this an option? I would like to get a black carpet with the grey interior, but no sure how it would look. Anybody do it and have pics? How about some grey carpet pics? My car is ripped apart so can't vision what it should look like.

i did it too, just painted my stock grey carpet last weekend, it looks likes pro's (pro, you were my influence to do it). it looks great, i say do it...ill have pics by this weekend

yup, with this dupli color spray paint that i got at autozone for like 6 bucks a can...it came out really well

haha idk if they have red, i think they might...

and pro, i know, i was wary at first too, but we tested it on my buddy's parts car (89 lx) and the carpet held it well, and it did in my car too, it looks good, and will do for now...i will eventually by black carpet, but this is a good stop gap while i have other pressing needs for my car...unless it really holds up, cause then ill leave it as is

they have some fine carpet dye out now.try the black before you replace carpet to see if you like it.I have used it with superb results on cars I have sold.Wal-Mart has it so do auto part stores.I am going to try it on my 86 vert.just make sure you mask off as this paint does not come off
