Default Some weight reduction numbers for you drag racers...

I am getting ready for paint this winter, so I am going to pull most of my interior so i can remove my 1/4 windows. Since I am trying to get a low ET at the track, I figure might as well pull some of it now. I weighed the stuff I removed and I was surprised at how much it weighed.

Front sway bar, links and hardware-- 27lbs
passenger front seat--35lbs
Center arm rest and floor mats(weighed them together)--15lbs
rear seat(cushions only)--27lbs
rear seat support, rear carpet and an amplifier--19lbs
Tail pipes(didn't pull them for racing, but they were there so I weighed them)--17lbs

That is a total of--140lbs

I already had the trunk deadener, spare and jack out so I don't know what that weighs, but I would guess another 40lbs.

They say every 100lbs will give you a tenth.....every pound counts

at the track i run no passenger seat, no hatch carpet, no spare, no backseats (supports and bars + insulation still there)

i also removed the ac but before with the ac it was 3220 so that stuff weighed about 50lbs

3170 with me in it now

oh ya i also use weld rims in the rear which are alot lighter than the ponies
