Default subframe question

hey i know there was just a post on this but i just got one question

i was holding mine up tonite(upr full length) cause my neighbor is gonna weld them up for me tomorrow.they dont sit flat down on the front side of the connector they touch in the front but then slowly get farther away towards the back just curious is this how they go if any one had any pics of their full length's installed?. thanks

Do they bolt up? Mine didn't lay perfectly flat against the frame until i bolted them up, as i tightened the bolts it snugged them up nice against the frame all the way down.

you may have to force them into place with some jacks or something, we have to do that slightly with mine, but it was because the geometery of the connector was slightly off. we compared them when we saw this issue with another set at our local speed shop. but its all fixed now.

heat it up, bend it, and put it in oil until it cools

I know they are weld ins but what i was saying is some bolt in first to get them positioned and then you weld them.

yeah i got ya onyx i have the full length weld in's from upr , they fit good except that the front of the subframe does not sit flat against the frame

i dont have any thing at my house to heat them up to bend so ill just have to get them as close as i can with my jack is it bad to really jack the crap out of them tight against the rail?

its brings carbon to the surface to harden the metal, but it becomes more brittle, if you do it this way....do it only once, otherwise you run the risk of cracking or shattering. those subframes usually have alot of stress they endure.
also when you put oil on it, you either have to drench it in oil or submerge it....otherwise youll have a big nasty oil fire if you just pour a little bit on it or dribble it on there.
