Do we need to uprade the fuel pump on these cars when we start modding them? I was looking at the WALBRO 255 LPH FUEL PUMP KIT on brenspeed. Thanks

 

What are your plans for the car? Is there a problem w/ the pump now?

 

yes u should upgrade whern u start modding

with some help i just put my 255 in a day ago not a big deal really

 

I'm about to put in a new intake manifold on the car. Which I figure more air needs more fuel. I do have full exhaust, 70mm tb, 73mm mass air. I don't want to get into trouble later on.

 

Your mods don't warrant a more powerful fuel pump
It will simply pump more fuel past the regulator, and back into the tank
In fact, it will actually pump so much extra you won't need, there is a strong possibility you will heat up the fuel in your tank
This is not good really, the colder that stuff is the better

 

well if your only doing those things i wouldnt worry about it

 

Just get the 255 it won't hurt anything
