I was mainly wanting to know if efi or carb. If you are efi, i am not much help, but there are plenty others who can.

Yeah, we need some more info about the car. Efi, or carb? Does it puff out black smoke, backfire through the intake, what exactly do you have and what is it doing?

It's efi, and I didn't see any smoke. Sometimes when i start it the engine stops. It's also happening in reverse.
Thanks a lot

Not much info to work with, but maybe partially clogged injectors?

Could be a clogged catalytic converter or other exhuast blockage, had that happen once on a Trans Am and it would choke out. Check your air filter also.
