i get about 22-24 around town and have gotten as good as 28 on the highway and i have #24 injectors. adding a sc you will only need #24 injectors as long as you dont change heads and cam. if you stay outta boost your gas mileage might decrease 1 or 2 but thats it. i would not waste my time putting an electric water pump but fans are a definate. should you decide to get electric water pump you will need to upgrade alternator to something like a 3g 130amp. the reason you will not decrease mileage is since you will have bigger injectors the duty cycle will decrease to keep the afr optimal. right now with #19 under normal driving they are only seeing about 30-40% duty cycle with bigger inj they will only see about 15-25 at the same rate of acceleration. so as long as you drive it day to day like you are now you will have no prob. hope that helps

20 MPG in a 5.0 is not out of the question. My old 83 vert 3.8 w/auto got 16 - 17mpg no mater how I drove it, yet in my 87 5.0 w/T-5 I got 17 - 20 city and 21 - 24 highway running 80mph+. Always thought it amusing my "hot rod" was also my economy car.

My 3.73's put my average speed of 80 to 2600 rpms, on the average whole tank Ive been getting consistent 20mpg. Thats why Im working on getting a 6 speed. Worst Ive gotten was 12

what?!?! lol i have a 3.73's and i cruise at 65mph and get a max of 20mpg at 2100rpm.. but thats if i only drive highway.. i get 15-16 usually.. could a ****ty air temp sensor hurt my mileage? cuz when she gets hot it idles high..

b 4 the 3.73s i used to get about 23highway but averaged about 20mpg... something must be f'ed w. my car...

I get about 24hwy, and 17 city in my 94. The 91 gets about 16mpg no matter where I drive it. But it is built also with 4.10's out back.
