so i got my car tuned today and i put down some good nmbers 314 rwhp abd 325rwt so i was pretty happy no pinging on the dyno but when we took it on the street around 3500 rpms every now again it would have a small ping nothing major but not perfect so he told me he is gonna see what he can do tomorrow. do you think i should re gap the plugs from .035 to .030 or maybe its something inside the distributor itself? because it has a good tune

RE: NEW DYNO #'s but small problem
I don't think gapping the plugs tighter is going to help. I would take a little more timing out or mix in some unleaded race gas if you can get some. If it only does it sometimes at that one rpm range then it won't take much to correct it.

nice numbers! when I was on the dyno my car popped after the run, so we gapped the plugs tighter and it solved the problem, but that was at higher rpms...
