high idle speed
I think this is a common problem. My 5.o liter Gt started idleing at 2000. koer code 411 and 412. pluging or unpl;ugging the iac makes no difference. TPS< MAF <IAT all check out ok. Couldnt find a vacuum leak, but maybe I am not looking in the right place. Any Ideas?

Whatvoltage is the TPS set at? Reset TPS voltage to .98and the back the idle down.There is a right up on here on how to do this. Just use the search function.

Hey thanks for the TPS info. The car is a 1995 mustang GT convertible with stock 5.o only mod is a shift kit in the AODE. I am having trouble with the search function , but I will keep on trying. Another different forum said replace the IAC valve because mine has plastic material comming out of the bellows over the spring assembly. but I dont want to buy a lot of parts I dont need. I will try my Haynes book on TPS. and let you know ....
