my 87 doesn't have the plastic inserts on the window in this pic, does anybodys know where to get them? do i have to replace the entire glass panel? if so, how do I take the panel out?

1987 - 93 do NOT have those inserts those are 1979 - 86 only.


in addition,

If you do get the glass, insert, and outer trim for window; you would also either have to cut your interior panels around the window opening or switch to the 86 or older interior panels to make it fit as those windows sit in more.

yes. the louvers u speak of came on pre 87 cars only so u will have to replace the entire glass piece from a 86 and back mustang.to remove the glass youll first have to remove the entire inside plastic quarter panel. then take off the 8 or more 8mm nuts and carefully push the window out since it is urethaned in. cant imagine why you would wanna do this, as the glass piece u have lokks much nicer in my opinion.

yeah, but I have a plan for it. I like the older style a tad better than the sv oh's, but i guess it really comes down to whichever i find first for the cheapest
