Just use a ratchet and hand tighten them down nice and snug. Their torque rating is most likely too low to use your torque wrench on them anyway

Last time i went a little toooo snug, and bent the shyty valve covers ( 25 $ summit set ) so now they are leaky. I'm gonna replace the gaskets and put my stock valve covers back on before i drive to texas in a week or so....I knew it was something low, but i didnt have a torque wrench at the time...Still dont on that note, but i can get one, i just wanted to get this done soon. But i'm sure the stock valve covers arent going to warp like the cheap assss summit ones did.
I also put rtv on both sides of the gasket, which i hear your only supposed to do one side for gasket movement reason. True ?

Get some good gaskets and don't bother with the RTV.

I've had a set of cork gaskets just layin around for awhile, i was just gonna use those. I'm debating on wether or not to spend the extra bones and get the rubber ones ( extra bones are hard to come by these days )

I'm tryin to sell some shyt so i can get front tires and tune up everything before i make my long **** journey to texas from ohio.....Gas mileage vs. 4.10 = 4.10s w/ the KO.

Cork gaskets, if you're gonna use em i'd use some like gasket tack n seal stuff with them, i just don't trust them. These are the ones I went with last winter, no problems as of yet and they're nice and thick so you can tigthen them down good: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

Ha and the intake manifold I decided to go by feel and I didn't tighten it enough and I had a leak. It took forever to find ending up using a smoke machine 2 find it.
