well how much do u know what your doing? if i were buying them heres what id check

warpage
valve guides
valves
springs
clean-ness
any port work? ****ty job?
wear on the top of the valves
are rockers on the heads? what kind? good quality? warn out?

id be bringing a flat edge, feelerguages, small hole guage, spring remover, spring tester, and a mic

yea thats prolly way over board, seller might not like you taking their springs off and droping the valves out... but if he wants to make a sale, he'll let u... for 500 bucks... id want to know exactly what im getting into

hell they could need 200 bucks worth of machine work that u cant see w just ur eyes

i doubt he'd let you take them... id imagine it wouldnt be expensive for a machine shop to check them, but i dont know...

what i listed is prolly over kill, but hey, thats what I'd do...

you will be ok just checking for squarness, which u can do w. a straight edge and feeler guages
