which balancer to buy 28 oz or 50oz
i know this has been asked before but my search function will not give me the answers i want. i am bringing my engine to the machine shop later this week. building a 306 stock crank, stock rods w/arp's and probe pistons, anderson cam. and i want to buy a new balancer this week before i take it to the shop. well im confused on which balancer to use. it is an 88 motor so i pretty sure i need to order a 50 oz flywheel gonna be billet unless i should get an aluminum same price?
but if i get a 50oz.flywheel do i have to get a 50 oz balancer? cause i have heard that these motors had 32/or 34 oz. or something like that? help.
or can i get 28 oz( or is there a downside ) since they have to balance it antway. help as im ordering this today if i can get figured out, the last piece of the puzzle before i can bring my block in?

you need a externally balanced set up meaning a 50 oz flywheel and 50 ozbalancer no if ands or buts on a latemodel stock set up.......if you wanted to reduce balance to 28 you need to swap to a 28 oz crank then you could use all 28 oz balance stuff

Anytime I've ever ordered anything for a late modelmustang 302 it's been labled as 50oz ....don't know what book your reading or refering to but 50/50 is what is needed.....here is a good balancer I'd use if I were you...you'll also need the spacer for correct belt alignment but it's what I'm using
