what do you have to do to make the trans off a 2005 up mustang gt fit a 93 5.0 fox body. does any one make an adaptor kit for this. the trans in that car is the tremictrans i think.

can someone tell me something other than no like why you are saying no. other than no one has tried it yet.

 

it could be done i guess. but I dont kno of anybody that makes an adapter plate or bellhousing to fit the 5.0. im pretty sure that you wont see one either since there are so many other (stronger and prollyless expensive)transmissions that will bolt right up. theres no demand for it at all and i personally dont see one in the near future either. but once again, may i ask why? is it just out of curiousity or....?

They use the Tr-3650 right? That's the same trans they used in I thinkthe '99-'04 V8 Mustangs too but if I remember right the bellhousing is part of the case which means that it will only bolt up to the 4.6 engine. I doubt anyone makes a 5.0 bellhousing for them as it would entail replacing the entire case. You'd probably beable tojust buy a TKO for less than what it would cost to custom-fab something that would work and end up with a much stronger trans.
