For all those who doubted the ls1 is a ford based engine here you go.

It seems like the LS1 took the best of the Ford engines, combined it with the best of the Chevy engines, and left all the bad stuff of both engines out.

but what of it is a chevy? other than the bore and stroke resemblence, the rest is of ford design. lol

He can figure out that LS1 heads will work on his small block ford, yet he can't spell "coolant" correct? Priorities in the wrong place?

I'd always heard that the LS1 was based off of Ford designs, but I had no idea the heads would fit that easily.

You have been trying to prove this flor quite some time and yet you still fail. Even if the LS1 was a Ford design, why did'nt Ford run with it? Or at least put a patent on it?

if ford came out with the ls1 first why didnt they market or use it? the ls1 is a overall better motor. it makes more power, better fuel economy etc etc
