just thought id put up a post..see what everyone drives when there not drivin their mustangs...
i wish i could drive my stang
When Im not driving my 1991 notch Im driving my 1993 notch because its a 4 banger.
So to answer: when Im not driving my mustang Im driving my mustang[8D]
i wish i could drive my stang
why not? 27mpg
..but puttin 100 miles a day on it isnt gonna work
why not? these cars should get 200,000 miles or so, dude I bought my 1967 fastback swore that he put 400,000 on it. (all the suspension was worn to hell) If you wish you could drive a mustang, why not do it? Get another mustang sell the taurus. you could go 4 banger like me or perhaps rebuild a pushrod v8 with mpg in mind, that way your other car could have all the mox power mods
For example, just got a 1992 mustang 5 speed 5.0 and would like to DD it, (selling the 1993 notch) so looking into rebuilding the engine with MPG in mind... here is my DD car (sitting next to my 1991, easy to tell them apart, wheels, black stripe, exhaust etc

Well...with the 5speed n a 3.73 gear..i really doubt id be gettin 27mpg anymore...i never got that with the aode n 2.73 gear...and as for the miles...ya i know..50s last forever..but if for some reason mine should break right now..the funds just arnt at the ready to be put into rebuildin the motor...so ill just keep the miles from rackin up on there right now..and save some money by drivin what i drive...

my daily driver now is a 2002 z28 camaro 6 speed it does pretty good on gas for what it is but i need to grab a 4 banger, which in result may end up costing me to sell the fox for the extra money resulting in not having a mustang [X(]wish my six cylinder mustang was still around or that my dad was still around so my family coulda kept his maxima...[X(]

My Cavi has the 2.4 and I beat the **** out of it. I had to rebuild the engine at 110K miles because the oil pump failed. It was a costly rebuild. I did the HO intake mani conversion on it and the "Secret CaM" swap also and I must say its not a bad little car to drive around. I baby it now because I have gone through 2 transmissions (5 speeds) and the engine is approaching 50k since the rebuild.
