Default They have offered $8,583

Well its been 4 months... and 4 inspections to my silver 1991...
They have offered $8,583, pretty ok but Ill walk away with $7,689.79
Thats not too bad but of course to me Id rather have my undamaged car

I might be able to get my $500 deductible back
Also they have been having me pay insurance on it ever since Dec 4, saying all the while that they will re-imburse me: I had them enter that into their notes more than once, now they are going to fight that with me.

On another topic: I recently paid $1500 to get a MRI because my Kaiser Doctor said that I was fine, no reason for MRI I begged him 4 different times he said basically that I was lying and trying to fool him, so I had to pay it myself. Well I have 2 slipped discs one is 6mm sticking out the side of my spine on the level of my rib cage... I was rotated in my seat, becasuse the highway staging light was directly 90^ to me I was looking hard left out of my dirvers window when I was hit, so there it Is... the saga continues, but I did have some work done over the weekend on a "new" 1991 notch I got from AZ:

Default RE: They have offered $8,583

I had a very similar run around years ago when some woman ran a stop sign and t-boned my Cougar XR-7. 4 months and nothing but the same run around, swapping agents, numerous faxes and emails, blah, blah, blah. So I finally ended up calling the SC insurance Commission, told them the story and 2 hours later the ins co (auto owners) called and offered a $6000 settlement, about 2000 more than the car was worth. I then purchased back the wreck for 325 and sold it for 1200.

Moral of story, the state insurance commission has the power to pull an insurance carriers license in that state and therefore carries a lot of power. Literally within 2 hours of registering the complaint with the ins commission the matter was settled.

Im glad that your situation has turned out OK.

Someone hit you and you had to pay a deductible? I'd be switching insurance companies.
