title question
There was a post on this a few weeks ago. Off of memory, all 87-92 GT's will show up like Cobra/GT's on the registration, and possibly the title, as in Canada they did put some Cobra badging on them (decklid). Someone pointed out it is most likely due to insurance reasons, as it is stll North America, that this was done for companies to identify the car in the Canadian market. There might have been another Cobra product in the country. Kinda similar to the old mustangs (64-66 etc), ones that were exported to Germany were called T-5's since in germany there was already a bicycle (i think) by that name and Ford coldn't call it a mustang b/c of trademark issues. 1993 they did not call is a Cobra, becasue they wanted no confusion with SVT. There are no changes to the car really though.
I know my '93 GT still pulls up on Carfax, as a Cobra GT, and my buddies '92 GT did too.
Anyways, hope you find that article on here.
