Hello,my name is Robert. On Monday of this week i bought my first car, and of course, it was a 1990 5.0L Mustang. Its a solid rust free car. 224k ( KM ),floor, rails and such are mint.

I am very excited about this car.

I just thought i would say hello to everyone, and that get use to seeing me on these forums!

So, are there any good links or threads i should read?

I read the article on the 1990 mustang, very good, its why i joined this forum compared to the many other mustang ones.

Its 224k KM sorry guys.

Pics will be up tomorrow ( dec 14th 2007 ) around 4pm EST!!! Body is solid. Ill psot pics as well of floors and body.

Sterio is pooched. Needs new exhasut. That ok though. And new rubber soon. Other then that, its perfect.

you sure its 224k miles and not 124k miles? Stock engine, rebuild, mods, etc. Let us know. And welcome to the forums, also, pics asap please =D.

god im still amazed by how strong alot of these motors still run on high miles like that.. even without rebuilds ive seen 200k plus still goin with no smoke or anything

If you have any expierience with an engine I would suggest doing a rebuild. Unless you just do bolt ons. Did you do a compression check????

my cars only about 5k away from the 200k mark.
still runs perfect besides a little shakey idle.
i would try and get the idle better but by the time i pull it out of storage in the spring it'll have a completely new motor.
so why bother trying to fix my old one.

yup same here. I have 187k on my 89 gt and it still runs strong. Just a little shakey idle too, but that's due to my harmonic balancer.
