Default AODE Problems

Hello Everyone,

I have a 1995 Mustang Gt 5.0 automatic (Aode) I was driving all day yesterday and all of a sudden I came to a light and stop;upon taking off 1st,2nd gears was fine 2nd gear hangs and won't shift into 3rd gear and sometimes it neutrals out and then recatch 2nd gear once I let off the gas and coast.Plz help me out i'm kinda handy but not really mechanically incline so if you have me looking for a certain part honestly could you explain what color,where,and what to do...picture will be a plus....

sounds like it is time to have the trans rebuilt ,or the torque converter is gone bad or the front pump is out but more than likely the trans is shot

yeah you know from exp . aod's are notorious for dropping

ha..found out the hard way..mines gone..one before i bought mine that i test drove was shot..slipped real bad...and my buddies 95 is startin to act up too..man i hate autos lol

if ur stickin with auto ..gotta stick with aode..the pre 94 aods (minus the E) are opperated differently...so try to find a 94-95 aod-e..if ur stickin with auto..if manual..94-95 t5 is best, the pre 94 is same to some extent, bellhouseings deeper n imput shaft is longer because with the body change the shifter had to sit back further..u can get it to work tho..thats what im doin to my buddies 95 in the next couple weeks..fox bell, fox t5...umm i think the new edge v6 t5s are the same as a 94-5 too?..
