RE: New To This Whole V8 Thing!!!!1
you probably got the heaviest, slowest 5.0 there is, an sn-95(a little heavier then a fox) +AOD(slushing, slow shifting) + vert(even more extra weight)
I would get 4.10 gears, shift kit, and a 100 shot of nitruos

ive read alot about nitrous and stock motors and i would go 100shot.but honestly the BEST thing you can do for a stock 5.0 w/ auto is have a set of 4.10 gears installed. i bought 3.73s but thats cuz mine is a stick. 4.10 is the best gear for an auto. and ull be very happy w/ them and gas mileage isnt effected very much. well i lied. you will be more tempted to punch the gas more often so that will do the mpg in... ha
here is the breakdown
$22 - Pinion Seal
$10 - Royal Purple 75w/90
$6.50 - Friction Modifier
$75 - Clutch packs
$70 - Posi labor
$105 - Gear Install Labor
$12 - Speedo Gear
$195 - Ford Motorsport 3.73 gears
$20 - Pinion Bearing
$26.43 - Tax
$554.93 - Total
this is prob the best bang for the buck too. and a shift kit will help out the crappy aod too.
damn you 86! you beat me to it

if its not a dd go with
4.30's
upper and lower controls arms
100 shot
MT ET streets
and something to help that auto ( i will let someone chime in on that)
and dont forget a tune for the 100 shot
guys remember 94-95's dont have the forged pistons like the the earlier foxes. i wouldnt push it past 125 unless you have an awesome tune

as long as there's no detonation the hyperucraptic slugs will hold more than the block. here's a link to a very knowledgeable site The Turbo Forums. just dont go crazy on those things though as they aren't as forgiving as the forged pistons are. just like jasper was saying

And for quick easy power, drop a k&n air filter in there, remove air silencer, and bump your timming a few degrees.

The best place to start is really "How much do you have to spend?" That'll determine the best route. Gears will help out quite a bit, always look to suspension mods, nitrous is a good route too. H/C/I costs more but is a good bang for the buck if you select the right parts, and the power is always there, but you get back to needing suspension that can support it.
Remember, suspension, suspension suspension!!!
