Default Clutch Quadrant??

Question, Stock Quadrant keeps slipping....time for a replacement

I was looking at UPR...but the question is, should I buy the whole kit?

1. Cable, Quad, FW Adjuster http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=181

2. Quad, FW Adjuster http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=634
*TheQuad is not a triple hook in this one...think it matters?

Some say all I need is the Quad/FW Adjust, some say get the kit....I say, ask the Mustand Forum??

What do you think?

all you need is the firswall adjuster ad quadrant, unless your OEM cable is messed up dont bother, the aftermarket cables are crap, stick with an OEM cable always

That is what I heard....but if I go that route, do you think that 'Speed release' from UPR (with only one hook) is OK? Or should I go for a double/triple hook with more positions??

I am sure the double/triple hook provides more flexibility...but do you really think that is needed for a Daily Driver if paired with a FW Adjuster?

True but i here that the ford motorsports adjustable cable is stronger then any other aftermarket cable out there. plus you can adj. your clutch in three ways if you have the qaudrent. cable and FW adj.I have all three and i love em.JMO

ok heres what I know the third hook on the UPR is just a gimmick to get around Steedas patent on the double hook design, and should NOT be used, the middle/second hook is for the adjustable cable and the first one is for an OEM cable

its actually 2 ways to adjust, the firewall adjuster and the cable, the quadrant is fixed, dont know if the Ford Racing Adj cable is the same quality as an OEM. heres an excerpt from MaximumMotorsports

We have done a lot of research on clutch cables, buying and testing almost every different cable on the market we could find. We have found after all this investigation, that the OEM Ford Clutch Cables are the best quality cables available. They have a multi-material, layered construction that provides better heat, friction and collapsibility protection than all the aftermarket cables we dissected. With that in mind, we have begun selling all year ranges of factory cables, for those customers that demand a cable that will last.
and you dont really need a second point of adjustability under the car, the firewall adj. is more convient and takes care of all the neccesary slack

Yeah, single hook quadrant, non adjustable cable, firewall adjuster. That's what I have from Steeda, works great. I bought one of their cables too b/c mine had almost 160K on it.
