Default Lift off hood install

Just picked up a cervinis lift off hood and was wondering how you guys have installed them and if you know any tricks. Im trying to think of the most subtle way of using the pins to get it on. I know i much would have perferred a bolt on but i got it cheap. The hood will be black, and i know i saw someone posted up some kind of new hood pins that were black ovals that lay flat on the hood although i dont know anything else about them. I was thinking about using them up by the top of the hood and just standard hoodpins in the front. I could be completely wrong with that wondering if you guys could offer some advice.........

buddy with a fox has a lift off cowl and his isnt exactly pins...there flush with the hood...3 on each side and they have a screw in each one and it screws the hood down to the holder underneath..looks really clean since theres no pin stickin thru the hood and no wires or pins that can scratch ur paint if u want a pic..i think i might have one around somewhere

Yea if you had a pic that would be great, do you think you could ask him where he got them?

i would imagine if u make sure there real clean n maybe even ruff them up a little u should be able to paint them...not sayin its not gonna chip unless u use a screwdriver with a rubber cover onit to tighten n loosen them..but ya shouldnt be any reason why painting them wouldnt work

take em somewhere, and get them powder coated, much more resistant to scratching/flaking off.

I dont really know what your looking for but Josh's mine and yellows friends hood looks great. But to me all the pins he put in the hood are too tight and drawn down to much and actully dented in the hood where he screwd them in so the hood is no longer flush the whole way up where the pins are. He doesnt care because all hes worried about is running 10s.
