Default Best Cold Air Kit? Show me what you have...

What do you guys think the best cold air kit is for our stangs? Is the fenderwell kit better then the engine compartment? It looks like the engine compartment kit would suck more hot air??? Do you really gain hp for this kit?

Let me know what ya'll think/have. Show me some pics too if you have them.

Thanks...

The fenderwell kit will probably make more power but most people are gonna tell you to save your money and just get a K&N for the stock airbox, since gains with a cold air kit are minimal.

But wouldn't that suck in a lot of hot air from the motor?

Yeah, but the motor just heats up the metal 'cold air' pipe too, so it really doesn't matter. I've had both and this does alot more. It has more sucking diameter...and just before the maf.

i have that filter sittin in my garage... i had it on for a while but then i put my stock box back on. i didnt like the idea of sucking direct hot engine air.. the stock box sucks air from the fender (much cooler air) anyways. just remove the air silencer if you havent already. but i assume you have. funny thing is my car still had it in there when i bought it.. haha just buy like the c&l power pipe or something w/ the stock box and k&n drop in filter

I personally think the main difference is how much you want to spend, they should all make similar HP. eBay intakes are the best IMO because they arent a rip off and do the same as the others. The pipes are aluminum so they disipate heat decent.
