Default Cold Air Intake and filter $20 Technical Conversion

Materials

1. 1ft(12inches) of 3 INCH DIAMETER PCV Pipe $3.87 Home Depot

2. 1- 90 Degree Elbow for 3 INCH PVC PIPE $2.99 Home Depot

3.1- STP SA6543 Air Filter $8.99 Autozone

(A handsaw, grinder, hacksaw, whatever you want to use to make the cut on plastic pipe)

Instructions

1. Remove Factory Airbox 2. Cut the lower center fender area of airbox trial fit for pipe.

3. Cut a 4 inch piece of your PVC PIPE, THEN A 3 INCH PIECE.

4. Put Glue on both Pieces, and insert to elbow snug tight with your hands.

5. Insert filter by hand, NO GLUE, this filter will VERY SNUG into the 3INCH PIPE.

6. Write your filter number on the Pipe with black permanent marker, then dab a lil clear glue on
top to protect the number from fading.

Results = More power throughout the curve, even better throttle response[8D].

The white piping cools down the incoming air dramtically, the filter=more air.

I'd rather spend an extra $20 on something that looks a lot better and is professionally made.

You can get the kits on ebay, night and day for $30 shipped or buy a full kit for $185 fender Mount
BBK, both look better.

But for those that constantly complain they dont have money , you have my cold air intake

and 70mm MAF for dirt cheap, even though they dont look as good.

Performance wise, I was very astonished [8D]

I thought you had a 347 with your 351 heads, race ported or something and were running 12 something seconds? Why are you doing all this crap now? must still be stock, besides your 70mm MAF and CAI

I like your approach, this is great for that mods for under $20 thread that someone was starting. Big deal about how it looks, you can paint it, or do whatever you want with it...It's nice that you got the right sized filter down for us too...

down to the intake manifold , and suspension for my 351 stroker, the block is all assembled

ran out of cash. Also I got a slice into my right hand and needed stitches from this block while installing the pistons, the tool slipped and my hand crossed the razor edge deck right into a vein.

But when the enige is ready, im gonna post some pretty pics and also get the BBK FENDER Mount
Edelbrock Upper and Lowers, Afr 205 or 225

The cold air intake is a cold air intake, just not chrome, and expensive and good lookin lol, but it works wonders.a lil performance without much $$$
