i have an 88 4-banger lx notch stang that im about 2 do a motor swap on. the new bullet came out of an 84 gt, but some one at one point put headers on it. they look like the factory style headers from a later 5.0 stang. my question is how do i go about ordering exhaust equipment for this thing? do i get a h/x/mid pipe for an 84 5.0 gt or for an 88 5.0 lx? i was planning on ordering the summit racing h-pipe and cat-back for an 88 lx, but i need 2 make sure if that is what i need or if i need to order another part (or get something made at the local exhaust shop)

 

86-93 exhaust ....and make sure on the 4 banger you got a double hump crossmember

 

would it have the double-hump from the factory possibly? or is it sumn i would have 2 buy?

 

Sometimes they have it...just take a look. Get the 88 exhaust

You're also going to need the exhaust hangers for one side as well.
