Is it adviseable to use an inlet restrictor on the heater core also...to extend its life? I've heard that, yet some folks act like I'm talking gibberish when I say it.

Wow! Ford wanted to charge me $200 for a heater core. So I went to my regular auto parts store, but it wasn't Autozone or Advanced...ughhhhh, wish my car luck please!!! :/

Just so you guys know dealerships, regardless of which OEM it is will stop carrying parts for cars after 15-20 years. As stated it keeps their inventory down and after that many years you can find the same parts for less elsewhere, it makes no sense for them to keep making them or stock them.
BTW 4 seasons and Ford are pretty much synonymous from the mid-90's up. It's just a rebadge job.

YUP. I worked at a Ford dealership back in the day and when I had to do mine a senior tech said they had to do that to a lot of Mustangs because of high RPMs. I didn't put one in mine though. I also got a Ford one when I did mine, can't remember the price, but 3 years later and a 6,500 RPM stroker later, it holds and heats.
