Suspension HELL!
okay so now we have got the strange 10 way shocks and struts, with the eibach pro-kit decided on...should i go solid or adjustable control arms or tubular or what? and who is a good company?
My '93 LX is set up for autocross. It handles like a go cart. I'll run thru for you how it's set up. Baer four wheel discs, 13" front 12" rears. TSW Kayalami 17X8s all around with 245/40 Yokohama "Z" rated tires. Shock tower strut bar, K member brace, sub frame connectors, BBK upper and lower control arms, panhard bar, HD front and rear sway bars with neoprene bushings, caster/camber plates, FMS quick ratio power rack, steel U jointed steering shaft, aluminum drive shaft, 3.55 R&P with Torsen differential. The car WAS lowered 1.5" f&r. I recently went back to stock springs to eliminate front tire rubbing problems. Lots of guys run big tires on lowered cars without rubbing, or at least they SAY they do. Mine rubbed on the inside top of the front fenders. Had to go around corners like granny. The panhard bar is important when setting up a Fox chassis for serious cornering. The rear end can actually move sideways up to 2" on heavy turns. Imagine what that does to handling, with your rear end steering the car!!
Good luck with setting up your car. Mine is a blast to drive on middle Tennessee's curvey roads.
