Default Tires/Quad shocks

I'm running 17x8 Bullitt wheels on my 91 Coupe. 235/45/17's tires in the front and 245/45/17's in the rear. If I put 255/45/17's in the rear. Do I need to remove the quad shock or will it be ok?

Measure, the 255 is 10mm wider than the 245.

I'd like to know the purpose of the Quad shock? When I replaced my shocks, I wasn't able to find a quad....

You shouldn't have a problem at all if you think about it a lot of ppl are running 17X9 rims on the rear with no issues, your rims are narrower to start with...

The original post said 255/45/17 in the rear ... no one's mentioning the 45. It's a taller tire. I'm pointing out cause I want to know as well

Also, I think some pics will help.

With the 255/45/17's under the coupe fit great and the quads or still on.
