Default getting better gas mileage

i have had quite a problem lately it seems with my gas mileage, when i got the car the previous owner claimed it did high 20s on the freeway and since, and around town low 20s, knowing now that prolly wasnt true but i only get around 12-14mpg and usually all town driving so is there anyway i can help with the gas mileage?

get a tune up, drive like an old woman, check your O2 sensors, k&n filter instead of stock paper filter, align the car, advance your timing and use a higher octane fuel

i just did a tune up about 2 months ago with 9mm ford racing wires, i have cold air intake with a injen filter, plan on adjusting the timing and i might need to get the car aligned and ill see how the higher octane helps thanks for the advice
