Default 88stang

i just got a stock 88gt. im thinking of getting trickflow twistedwedge heads and have them shaved 10,000 of an inch ported and polished. a 70mm bbk throttle body 24lb injectors, a holley systemax upper and lower intake, a cam. flowmaster exhaust.373 gears. and a 75 horse nitros setup. and change from speed density to mass air, can anyone help me and tell me if this setup is good and an idea what my hp will be at the rear wheels

Well, I would just get the TrickFlow kit with heads, cam, intake, pushrods and roller rockers. This will give you about 360hp to the flywheel. Use a C&L 73mm MAF and a 70mm Throttlebody. With the 75HP NOS, it should be around 375 or so to the rear wheels on the spray. Is it a 5-speed or auto trans?

i wouldn't convert to mass air if it were mine there are plenty of cam options out there for sd cars, that would save the cost of the conversion and the cost of the 24lbph injectors as the sd's can't run those . and just step up the nitrous to a 150 and you would be golden ( you can find a goodcam for sd through comp cam 112 degree lobe seperation )

pretty much , but the cam has to be at 112 degrees lobe seperation or it won't run . comp cams has a good one for around 300 that is cheaper than mass air conversion which is around 600-700 depending if you are buying new or trying to track one down in a junk yard , which is tough if you haven't noticed that 5.0's don't last long in the bone yards and they are still there they are picked clean. but yeah you can run nitrous ,an sc or aturbo on them no problem .but the cam is crucial it must not exceed 112 degrees lobe seperation , and even if you had a cam custom ground you would still have enough for the squeeze , by not going with the mass air and injectors . oh and yeah the injectors have to stay at 19lbph .far as sd info dimebag is a good source on here and i know enough to be dangerous with one [sm=gears.gif]

the tfs heads are good, porting them is a good idea... why shave off .0001 from them tho? im confused about that...

anyway, if you want to stay sd lemme know, if not have fun w. mass air, nothing wrong with it

and stangbanger your close... you want to watch over lap,but just lsa(btw id lean for 114 not 112) wont tell you enough

and no you dont need to notch pistons just for the heads(depends on your cam though) but if you mean because of the 2.02I valve, no because they are put at a differant angle then most 5.0 heads

It wont give you 360 at the wheels on a stock engine (its less, at the rear wheels he usually make 10-15 under 300), also why go with such a small shot of nitrouse? almost seems pointless......As long as the tune is GREAT, there is no reason it cant hold a 200 (would definatly stay closer to the 100-175 range though) also with that kind of power, if the car is stock your going to have a hell of a time getting that power to the ground, suspension should be one of the first things you do, along with tires
