What intake is this?

Lol. I'm not too bad with cars myself, just when it comes down to taking an engine apart and reassembling it, I might need some help. I'm thinking that if it starts up and idles for twenty minutes ok, without any weird smells/noises/smoke, and there's nothing funky in the oil or coolant,I'll be ok. I'll check the plugs and air filters too. I can't do a compression check or test the a/f, but like I said, the shortblock is coming out anyway.

How much is the guage? I've never done one before, but it seems pretty straightforward.

Like you posted earlier...let it idle and take a thorough test drive. Check the oil, coolant, belts, hoses, etc. I also take a magnet with me when I look at cars to check for body filler.
