fox bodys
fox bodys rule
a super investment, i prefer notchbacks (notch, coupe, trunk, sedan, cop cars) whatever you prefer to call them
sn95 cars (94+ cars) are a bit heavy for me.
just some quick things to think about.......
aod (ford automatic) will make the car about a full second slower (i've had2 of them i know from experience)
1987-1988 were speed density
1989-1993 were mass air
1993 did not have forged pistons
gt's are about 150 lbs heavier than a lx
convertibles are about 300 lbs heavier than whatever you compare it to
coupes are about 3150 w/ no driver and 1/4 tank so do the rest of the math
there is no reason you can't find a clean (zero rust, glossy paint) 5.0 fox for under $5k
expect notchbacks to be the most pricey (and just continue to climb) compare to the fastbacks of the 60's and 70's VS. coupes of the same
if you get a 'vert make sure the top is good, mostly the glass window section. (about $800 repair job)
drive a few to see what you really want, pro's and cons of everything and very personal preferance
ANY AND ALL Q'S POST 'EM UP !!! plenty on here happy to help
get one and you'll get bit really quick

Im curious to see why guys are telling you to not buy a fox body, my opinion is if you like the fox body buy one, theyre an awesome car, easy to upgrade, parts are by the thousands, buy what YOU want.
the only reason ive ever heard not to get a fox body is that there to easy to lose control, but a few suspension modifications and such and ur fine...like all mustangs tho be a little carful in the rain
I have a 1993 notch, I love it, my first car was a red 1983 LX convertible. The only thing with the 93's were that the engine does not have forged pistons as said above. The horsepower rating was also dropped to 205. I picked mine up for $5K, Greenish blue, 95K miles, no rust, glossy paint, it looks like it has never been sat in. it is my daily driver. there are tons of places where you can get mods for them. If you like it go for it.

People do not like them beacue of there look. I am 17, in grade 12. I went and told some people that i bought a mustang, and there like ho what year. I said its a 90 notch lx. And all of them were like ohh mustang were hurting those years. There so boxy. Only about me and 4 other people started deffending it, the 4 other people were the only ones who really knew they were pushing 230 in horse's.
I love my fox and i have only driven it once or twice. ( i doing alot to it. )
