Default Looking for advice on my LX

Hi all, new to the Foxbody scene because I have had way to many GTA's Formula's and Iroc's.Was getting tired ofhaving to spend tons of money in GM's complex TPI systems just to get minimal upgrades. So here I am bought a 89 LX 5.0. To be honest, im not at all impressed with the power the car has even with every imaginable bolt on and even a small cam. So I wil tell you what the car has and you can voice your opinion about what my next move should be. Its a stock block with stock heads, Edelbrock upper and lower intakes, E- cam, BBk cold air intake, BBK throttle body,BBK pulleys, full MSD ignition,BBK shorty headers into dual Flowmaster 50 series, short throw 5-speed. I drove the car hard the first day I had it and I wasnt at all impressed, to the point where I almost think something is wrong with it because the 5.0 guys always talk smack to the GM boys.So I am considering heads and intake to start but may also consider refreshing the engine and going with a Procharger. My goal is to have a low 12 very high 11 street car. Let me know what you guys think....

Sure the engine could use a rebiuld but the heads are very restrictive on 5.0's. Since you probably need a rebuild, build a 331, 347 stroker with some good heads like AFR 185 or 205 and run your times. Add a pro charger or nos to that and be over the hump if a better block is used

your heads are part of the problem , what size injectors are in the stang ?does it have a bigger mass air meter ? i would go with better heads step up the injectors refresh your bottom end , spray doesn't hurt either .
