ok i put the msd in because it had no spark. i though i tested the OLD 6a box but i later found out it wasnt even hooked up. so i got the NEW 6al box and started up right away. but it had a misfire. so i still drove it for a few days then i just said the miss is too much on the engine so i parked it n it now doesnt run.i have already checked spark and i get spark, im 100% sure im getting fuel since every plug gets wet, n air is a no brainer. i do know the oil is so bad. but i feel this is a timing issue, since i can get it to start with the dist being off a tooth, but when i put it in the proper spot it just cranks but it cranks strong like it should. i feel since the inital prob. when the car backfired and shut off, that i have either a bad computer since it doesnt run off just the computer alone. or a bad timing chain causing the misfire.

ok put the dizzy in the spot its supposed to be in then take the spout connector off. your car should fire right up if not turn it clock wise or counter clock wise till it starts. from there set your timing

ok i decided it was my timing chain so i pulled the front cover and sure enough i had about a 1/4- 1/2' in play on a double roller. i bought a new double roller but waiting for new timing cover and i have to extract 2 broken bolts. hopefully i solved part of the issue.
