Default Selling 83 GT convertable, have some ?'s

Hey guys, I have a 1983 GT convertable that has been my project car for the last 10 years or so. I need a year-round driver (I live in Canada and our winters are horrible for 5.0's) so I have decided to sell it.

My question for you is this: I have slightly moddified the car, added 16" pony wheels, a Kamai ground effects kit, cheese grater tail lights and so on. Does this car have any collectors status yet in that it would be worth it for me get it back to factory before selling, or just keep it the way it is.

Being the first year back for the vert and a GT it should have some collector value. I would remove the ground effects and sell to me

Thanks for the interest stang8689, I need to replace the clutch and get the brakes fixed before I sell but it is for sale. The paint is not the greatest, completely original but it is nearly perfect other than that. Not a hint of rust, 80,000 original kms, never winter driven. I have the original TRX wheels for it as well.

I have uploded pictures of it to a photo share if you would like to see more.

Returning it to stock would definitly bring more money. It is a very rare car. They only made 1001 ofour cars and only 9 went to Canada. Meaning if your car is originally from Canada then it is worth some money. You need to advertise this. It will take some time to find the right buyer but you should be able to get good money for it. Do some research before you sell a car like this. There is a guy who has a registry for just 1983 GT Conv, I may have his contacts, I will have to look.

Wow, even though you insulted my car, I owe you big time. I had no idea it was that rare. I don't think I can sell it now.

Ya I just can't believe you put cheese graider lights and a GT style body kit on a 4 eye. Verify it's rarity, bring it back to stock and then sell it on something like Hemmings.
