reviving my old project
well spring is slowly on the way and each day I am here at school I think more and more about actually performing some work on my t-top project.
one thing I wanted to tackle is wiring.
the main duty of the car is to make it a strip/street car,
now being 19 and in school, all my stuff is at my house, and my rents want the car running by summer so they can at least move it if they need(been sitting in the same spot for a long time)
the car was originally a CFI 3.8 v6 and is now a carbed (lacking carb) 5.0 the big huge bundle of messy rotted old wires from the V6 are still under the hood. am I safe to yank the entire harness (comp) and leave just the wiring for the headlights, the harness is prolly useless cuz it was a v6 harness...
the car also has no A/C anymore, took every thing out minus the A/C heater box, gonna try to find a non AC box sooner or later, the heater core is prolly shot anyway... nor will it have smog and maybe no power steering either...
I'm ok to send the harness to the dumpster right? figure while I am home during spring break I'll do something/buy something for it so my parents still see I am working on it....

you can remove the computer and wiring. Try to get the wiring from another 5.0. Its only the alt., starter, coil, and dist.

I'll have to give CJs a call, they may have some harnesses lying around
the typical boneyards are devoid of 5.0s... all the foxes Ive seen junked have been stripped to bones or were 4 bangers, and then stripped to bones...
I only found 1 good fox for its front bumper ford emblem and its ashtray...
it was a notch too, shoulda grabbed the 1/4 windows for it, but we were there to find a hood for my dads winter beater and ran into the totallled notch
