the short block with no cam and timing chain and without the dss girdle and tray with shipping was 1900.00 but the 1900.00 included balance, degree cam, paint it...all machine work and he installed cam and price included prof product sfi balancer.....as it sits on the stand the cam was 300.00 transfered from my 306, dss girdle and pro tray = 400.00 timing chain dunno?? I supplied woody with my one from the 306 that was in great shape but looks as ifhe put a new one on and didn't charge me??.. but then again he didn't give mine back..oh well so as it sits I have roughly 2650.00 in it but the rest of my accessories at the shop will put this motor well into the 7000.00 to 8000.00 range and this is what it is going back in: my 85 gt

oh trust me I didn't have 8 k!!! the 2k spent on the short block was not out of want!!! the 306 after a few NOS runs decided back in sept it didn't want to have oil pressure anymore..... the other 6 k in parts have been purchased over the years like the afr 185 heads.. I bought them back in 2002 as well as the rest of the parts through out the year.....UNCLE SAM footed the bill on this short block so really I only will have put out 2500 this time around... but it's all the this time arounds that keep killin me!!!

You can over rev a 347 and walk a bearing.

Thats the usuall cause of lost oil pressure among assembly overlooks.

New Bearings, and Oil Pump, your set.

Damn you rich bitch lol. Nice man. That is a chunk of change for a short block. It just seems cheaper to findan old 351 block for a couple of hundred, buy the slugs and rods, get the crank turned .010 and the rest of block machined. But i'm a cheap bastardbecause i'm broke[:@]. Dont think in any way that i'm knocking you brotha i'm just jealous.
