I am unsure the heads would support a 347. They are opened up quite a bit. I am just trying to play it safe on having enough to support the 331 at least. I have to much money tied up in these heads to dump them for something different. I dont wanna take a big loss trying to unload them forsomething else.

looks nice, also curious why you chose 331 instead of 347

[Quote[/align]Do I need to clearance my block for a 331 stroker kit?
99.9% of the time you do not need to clearance your block when using one of our 331 stroker kits. You do need to make sure you have atleast .060-.070 thousandths clearance between the connecting rod bolts and the bottom of the cylinder bores.

Guess where I fall in this statistic???? Yep I am among the .1 percent. I have to tear it back down and clearance a few of the cylinder walls.[:@] Oh well here is the progress pic of the day. I got my ring compressor and expander today. I figured I would check ring end gaps just for giggles considering I ordered the prefit ring set. The car will see alot of street time is why I ordered the prefits. Anyway the gap on the top ring was dead on where it needed to be on all cylinders. The second ring on the other hand was about .014 off from where it needed to be. I got the rings filed to meet my requirements and installed all the piston. Everything rotated good and smooth. I thought hey lets check cylinder wall to rod bolt clearance. 1-4 no issue's. I turned my attention to the 5-8 and low and behold 3 of them need some extra clearance. Tomorrow I will tear it back down and make some massages clean everything up and put it back together. (I hope)
