Default ignition Q

alright as most of ya have seen i am going with a basic h/c/i 40p top end with an xe264hr cam and 100 shot wet and was wondering what type of ignition will work the best for this set up and be adjustable enough for a big stroker later (bought a 351 gonna stroke it to 427, but later on down the line ) any suggestions besides msd 6al ?

I use the MSD Digital 6. For me the best feature is the timing retard. You can retard it for start up and when your spraying you can retard it with a little dial instead of using a timing light. I have my dizzy locked out so the timing retard is functional for my use.

I've been using the dig 6 for about a year now. I did have to get it replaced a few months ago due to my ignorance. Dig ign have capacitive discharge instead of inductance. Meaning with ign. on you will not have voltage to coil, i was unaware of this. My engine lost spark one day and i measured voltage at coil and only had .7 volts, on reg ign you will have around 12v. I got the bright idea of jumping 12v to coil from my solenoid and my box went poof. So the only problem i've had is operator headspace. The dig 6is a nice piece.
