Default Cheap Turbo Setup

Ok i know what your thinking right away, F ebay turbo kits, but what exactly is it in these kits that gives them a bad name. I hear people say its junk all the time but has anyone actually installed them? I would just like to know how decent the kit is, because 850 bones aint too bad for a twins setup.

But so nice and shinny?!

Seriously though think about it ckyguy68, what kind of parts quality do you think you are going to get at that price.

+1 to all of those. somebody posted up a thread from another forum where they were trying to install a kit from ebay. the turbos rested on the shock towers no matter how they clocked them. just not much R&D on them and the jigs they used (if they used them at all[&:] ) they were to loose to keep the bends consistant from one kit to another. so basically it a crap shoot if it will fit, and when/if it actually does fit the turbos are still crappy compared to whats out there now a days.

That thread was interesting. I've always known you get what you pay for, but i know people use ebay headers for twin setups so not ebay stuff is complete garbage. It seems that these kits can work fine with the right amount of modification. but FUUUUUCK that ill just buy some hot parts from ponydown + grab a used 60-1 and have a nice DIY setup
